Our Mission Fields

Our mission works are mainly in Chhattisgarh and Maharashtra. In Chhattisgarh we have works at twelve places and at five places in Maharashtra, The PICTURES given in the gallery gives somewhat an awareness of — the look of their villages, their culture, their transport, their agriculture and habitats, etc.

Chhattisgarh

Chhattisgarh, literally, ‘Thirty Six Forts’ is a state in Central India. It is the tenth largest state in the country with 52,200 sq. mi. area having population of 25.5 million. It is the sixteenth most populated state of the nation and one of the fastest developing state. The state is a source of electricity and steel for the country. It accounts for 15% of total steel produced in the country. This state was formed on 1st Nov 2000 by partitioning sixteen Chhattisgarhi-speaking southern districts of Madhya Pradesh. Raipur is the capital city. Chhattisgarh borders the states of Madhya Pradesh in the North West, Maharashtra in the South West, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh in the South, Odisha in the east, Jharkhand in the North East and Uttar Pradesh in the North. As of now, the state comprises 27 districts.

We have mission works mainly in Belar, Duragaon; Kalipur–Saraipara, Saralapara, Khatgona, Langa; Lakhanpur- Thunga; Udaypur – Badegaon; Rajnandgaon; etc. In Belar, by the grace of God, we have a beautiful church that can accommodate about 350 people for worship. In Kalipur we have a beautiful house church that can accommodate about 175 people for worship.

Belar is a tribal village panchayat located in Bastar district; Kalipur is a village with a total 241 families located in Premnagar Tehsil of Surguja district; Lakhanpur, also known as Lakshmanpur is a thickly populated Tehsil in Surguja district; Udaypur comes in Raigarh district, earlier in Madhya Pradesh but now in Chhattisgarh; Rajnandgaon is in Rajnandgaon district. In these places mentioned, believers come together for worship in the houses of the pastors or one of the believers only.

Rajnandgaon, also known as Nandgaon is the primary town of Rajnandgaon District, in the state of Chhattisgarh, India. As of the 2011 census the population of the city was 163,122. Rajnandgaon district came into existence on 26 January 1973, as a result of the division of Durg (Bhilai) district. National Highway 6 (Great Eastern Road) also passes through the town. The nearest airport is at Mana (Raipur), about 87 kilometres away. There is an International Hockey Stadium, Digvijay, in Rajnandgaon which is one among the top ten stadiums in India. We are looking for a suitable place around this area for our church and Bible College. Now we have a temporary facility at Tulsipur, Rajnandgaon, where our believers cone together for worship

Maharashtra

Maharashtra, literally ‘Great Nation’ is a state in the western region of India and is the nation’s and also the world’s second-most populous sub-national entity. It is spread over 118,809 sq. mi. and has over 110 million inhabitants; its capital, Mumbai, has a population of approximately 18 million. Mumbai is also the financial capital of the nation and the headquarters of all major banks, financial institutions and insurance companies in the country. India’s Hindi film industry, Bollywood, and Marathi film and television industry are also located in this state. Maharashtra’s business opportunities along with its potential to offer a higher standard of living, attract migrants from all over India.

Maharashtra is bordered by the Arabian Sea to the west and the Indian states of Karnataka, Telangana, Goa, Gujarat, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and the Union territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli. The state is also dotted with cave temples, and monasteries with rock cut art from ancient Buddhist, Jain and Hindu times. Some of them such as Elephanta, Ajanta and Ellora caves are UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Maharashtra is the most urbanized state in India, with large cities besides Mumbai such as Pune, Nagpur, and Aurangabad.

Maharashtra is one of the wealthiest and the most developed states in India, contributing 25% of the country’s industrial output. As of 2011, the state had a per capita income of INR1.0035 lakh (US$1,600), more than the national average of INR0.73 lakh (US$1,100). Agriculture and industries are the largest parts of the state’s economy. Major industries include chemical products, electrical and non-electrical machinery, textiles, petroleum and allied products.

We have mission works in Nagpur and in Gondia district at various places namely– Lakhegaon, Gangajhari, Tiroda, Bardi, etc. Gondia is about 125 KM. from Nagpur. In Nagpur God Almighty has provided a good church where about a hundred people come and worship Lord Jesus. This church is two storied the top floor is used for Kindergarten classes where 22 kids are studying, as of academic year 2014-2015.
